We like a good adventure, but we like it even better if there’s a twist. And what better twist then the ever wondered about TIME TRAVEL!

For all your time travel questions, cravings and marveling we bring you our Top 10 Time Travelling Movies.

10. Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me

At some point the cheesy wonder that is Austin Powers was bound to make it onto one of our lists. In this raunchy comedy, the British super spy must travel back in time to 1969 to save his one and only MOJO! With the help of Felicity Shagwell (Heather Graham), Austin Powers (Mike Myers) makes time travel truly the grooviest thing around. The Spy Who Shagged me proudly earns a spot on our list.

9. Hot Tub Time Machine

This movie isn’t just a time travel movie, it’s a classic buddy comedy. When three friends, Adam (Jon Cusack), Nick (Craig Robinson) and Lou (Rob Corddry) all hit a rough patch in their lives they decide to take themselves on a trip back to their old stomping grounds. They also bring Adam’s nephew (Clark Duke) along. Like most places from our past the winter resort they return to is better in their memories. The story takes a mystical turn when their bro out in the hot tub actually takes them back in time to 1986. The guys learn though a do-over in time isn’t always the exciting adventure it seems to be. This movie has a lot more heart than you expect, and will have you laughing out loud to yourself.

8. Looper

This film is set far in the future (2074) where time travel is something society has become accustomed to. If you have enough money and the connections on the black market it’s at your disposal. The mob has taken this on as their number one asset and uses it for their hit men (Loopers). This movie highlights the not so mystic side to time travel and its consequences. Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays a brilliant young Bruce Willis. This included a freaky nose piece that will take you at least half the movie to get used to. This movie was highly under-rated, and with it’s cool concept and new take on time travel Looper earns our number 8 spot.

7. Groundhog Day

We couldn't have a list like this without including Groundhog Day - it's a total cult classic for a reason! Bill Murray shines as the cynical news reporter sent to cover Punxsutawney's Groundhog Day celebrations and ends up stuck reliving the same day over and over and over and... you get the idea! If you've ever wondered how many ways the same day could have gone differently, this movie will answer all your questions and more, all while making you laugh!

6. 13 Going on 30

This movie is the early 2000s answer to the Tom Hanks' movie Big - when a pre-teen girl wishes she was a grown-up after a pretty disastrous 13th birthday, she wakes up a 13 year old girl in her 30 year old body, and has to learn to navigate her grown-up day-to-day life and all it's strangeness! Jennifer Garner is adorable, and Mark Ruffalo is perfect as the boy-next-door turned boy-who-got-away. Guaranteed to make you smile, 13 Going on 30 earned it's spot on this list by making you take a second look at your adult life through the eyes of your younger self!

5. About Time

Strangely, Rachel McAdams happens to be a major character in more than one time traveller movie on our list - and in both cases she doesn't get to be the time traveller! Super unfair, but not the point. Tim learns on his 21st birthday that the men in his family have a secret: they can travel through time! With this knowledge, Tim sets out to improve his life by travelling back to turning point moments in his life, usually with the goal of getting a girlfriend. This movie will make you laugh, make you cry and realize that life happens, no matter how many different paths it could take!

4. X-Men: Days of Future Past

This movie is technically the 7th movie in the X-Men franchise, and we KNOW what you’re thinking… but trust us this movie is actually fantastic. When a 21st century tyrant invents a technology that could cause mutants to go extinct, Wolverine (begrudgingly) goes back in time to rally the X-Men of the past to stop this from ever happening. This cast is STACKED, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, James McAvoy, Peter Dinklage, we could literally go on and on. This movie shows you that sometimes good things can happen with a little change, or really a big change and we highly recommend it!

3. Back to the Future

Okay, there was absolutely no way we could get away with not having Back to the Future on the list! This is a true time travel classic: Marty McFly and Doc Brown in the DeLorean? Yes please! There's a reason a whole franchise was born from this first one: there's something magical about the way this movie falls together - though Doc would probably scold me and say that it's science not magic. If you haven't watched Marty try to navigate life as a classmate of his parent's in the 50s, ensure that he's born, and get back to the future in time to save Doc Brown, you need to correct that pronto!

2. Men in Black 3

Usually when a franchise gets to the third movie, well it tends to feel like they've gone a bit stale on material! This is so not the case with Men in Black 3, in fact it's one of our favourites! When a alien villain gets his hands on a time travel device and uses it to go back in time to get revenge on the agent who put him away, things get a bit crazy! J is hot on the trail, travelling back to 1969 where he ends up working with a younger version of K, to not only save the K of the future, but the planet itself! Will Smith is hilarious as always, and Josh Brolin does an insane Tommy Lee Jones impression, right down to the facial expressions and voice - it's incredible! An all-around good time, it definitely earned its spot as runner up!

1. The Time Traveler's Wife

You think your long-distance relationship has it bad? It’s got nothing on this one. Come talk to us when your partner has a rare genetic disorder causing them to go back and forth through time, uncontrollably I might add! Henry (Eric Bana) meets the love of his life Clare, while on one his disappearing time travels. Clare is played by Rachel McAdams, who still doesn’t get to time travel. It’s just getting rude at this point. This unexpected couple not only have to navigate the normal aspects of a relationship but with the added inconvenience of time travel. This movie plays with the romance and adventure, but it also manages to pull at your heart strings when it adds a realistic light to the story. This movie is a must see, and we couldn’t imagine a better number one for our list.
