Beauty is changing everyday, what was once the *IT* thing to try has been replaced. Even the way we do our make up and care for our skin has changed a lot. I try to look at new ways to improve my skin, and I found a few hits and definitely a few misses. In my search for a new skin care process, the idea to try the Korean Skin Care Routine came about.
Some people say do the 10-step guide and others have a 7 step guide. I decided for my first attempt to try the 10-step guide for a week.
The Steps:
1. Makeup Remover + Oil Cleanser
2. Water-based Cleanser
3. Exfoliator
4. Toner
5. Essence
6. Treatments
7. Sheet Mask
8. Eye Cream
9. Moisturizer
10. Sun Protection
From the beginning you can tell that this was a lot of work, but the routine claims to have many benefits. Honestly, my usual routine is maybe two steps wash and maybe face cream.
Going into this I was excited to see how it turned out, and how long I would last with this routine. I lasted one week and tried for the next week only to fail.
The steps that I enjoyed were surprising; the oil cleanser and sheet mask. Since I have combination skin including one being oily I have always tried to avoid oil the products I used. I assumed oil in a product would make my skin oilier. Boy, was I wrong. It made my skin so soft and oddly not greasy like I thought it would be.
Overall, I would recommend this care only for someone with patience and time to spare. I will continue to do steps: Makeup Remover + Oil Cleanser, Exfoliator, Toner, Moisturizer and Sun Protection as they are easy to do daily.
Then maybe occasionally I will do a full 10 step process.
Good luck babes!
